Why Do I Feel Stuck (and how to align yourself)

You’re motivated, you’ve read all the self help books, you know what you “should” be doing, but you still feel stuck. So why does it feel like you’re going in circles?

Feeling stuck isn’t about not having goals, Its about feeling disconnected from yourself.

This happens when:

  1. You’re chasing what you think you should want, not what aligns with you.
  2. You’re caught in overthinking & fear, rather than taking aligned action.
  3. You’re burned out from trying to force things instead of flowing with them.

The Missing Piece: Alignment over Hustle

Many people think they need to “push through” feeling stuck by working harder or forcing motivation. But true motivation comes from alignment with what you’re working on, not struggle.

Now what is Alignment? Alignment means living in harmony with your goals, values & desires. When your actions naturally flow, instead of feeling forced. A great example of this is when many young adults are told “what” they should be doing as a career. Be a doctor! A lawyer! Run the family company! Its whats best for you. Compared to uncovering work that is truly aligned with their wants & needs in life. Something that should make you feel excited waking up, that challenges you but is rewarding as it pushes you closer to who you want to be and the life you want to create.

When you’re out of alignment, you’ll often feel lost, uninspired & burnt out. It’s a quick path to feeling exhausted and constantly overwhelmed. You’ll keep trying new things to make it work, but ultimately will be struggling with decision-fatigue & self-doubt. The last thing you want to do, is build the life others have chose for you, or simply a life you never wanted in the first place. Yet this is a path many people choose not to take, its a difficult road filled with challenges that push your growth & can leave you uncomfortable for the walls you’ll be breaking down.

How to Realign Yourself

Step 1: Why do I feel stuck?

You need to get clear on whats truly yours compared to what you think “is best” based on external projections from others.

Ask yourself: Are you chasing someone else’s version of success?

Many of us build our lives on external expectations of what we “should be doing” instead of our true inner desires. Or we think that if we just follow the same path as someone else did it’ll be easy! It’s what they did. Without realizing that everyone does everything quite differently, timelines are different, how you achieve it is different, you have different motivation and so on. Make it yours.

Heres a quick journaling practice:

  • What parts of my life feel like they’re being lived for someone else?
  • Where in my life do I feel drained and what might that be telling me?
  • If no one could judge me, what would I be doing differently right now?
  • What would I pursue if I knew success was guaranteed?
  • What version of me feels most alive and what’s stopping me from being them daily?

Step 2: Align your Actions with Energy

Once you know what you want, the next step is to act as if you’re already that person.

Try doing this:

  • Instead of “I wish I could be healthier,” → Ask “How does the healthiest version of me act today?”
  • Instead of “I want to be successful,” → Ask “What daily habits would my successful self already have?”

Shifting your identify first, allows you to become that person. This will lead you to the actions they… or you will be taking. This will create results quicker than trying to force change.

Step 3: Release the Resistance thats Holding You Back

Identify all the fears you may have, the challenges that may arise, or all the limiting beliefs that are telling you NOT to try living the life you deserve. It will be hard! Embarrassing! I don’t have the skills! What will my family think? My friends think? sound familiar?

Once you can identify your limiting beliefs, you can reverse engineer them to serve you, alongside giving you an anchor on what to do and how to do it. Often you will be met with uncomfortable thoughts and the “unknown” of what will come.

If you identified for example “I don’t know how to be a public speaker, I have stage fright!” you can reframe it as “I’m still growing and will learn the necessary skills of public speaking, it will be challenging but I can do it”. Reframing it to a neutral or positive statement only serves the truth. Anything negative is a judgement that comes from the ego, anything that says it how it is within the mind & important without the negative framing, is from YOU!

  • Identify limiting beliefs that are blocking you.
Embodiment – Act Like It’s Already Yours

Release Resistance – Let Go of Attachment
  • Detachment doesn’t mean not caring, it means trusting.
  • The more desperate you feel to manifest something, the more you push it away.
  • Shift from needing to allowing.

I’m thrilled to announce the release of The Self Alignment Method, a book I’ve written that you can find [here]! This book combines tools, tips, techniques, and guided activities I’ve gathered over my 10+ years of exploring self-help and personal growth. I initially created it for my younger self—10 years ago, I wanted something that would easily combine all the lessons I’ve learned into one impactful resource. It’s been over two years in the making, and now it’s finally here.

Personal Growth

Ultimately this book is for individuals who are looking for a practical guide for personal growth. It combines neuroscience, shadow work, mindset frameworks, metaphysics and spiritual teachings & practices and tons of guided activities for each section that align with what you’re trying to do and create. I’ve even heard from those who have read it, that it can be a bit intimidating because its so straight forward it doesn’t leave room for any excuses which was something I wanted to convey throughout the book. The Self Alignment Method

Onto the method itself. As I said its a combination of wisdom, techniques and frameworks that can help anyone at any stage of their life to life in their full authenticity. Why allow life to happen to you, when you’re a co-creator of your reality and live the exact life you always wanted to have. Our lives are too short to allow fear to dominate over us or have others lead us in directions we never wanted to go down in the first place. They say if you cannot make the hard choices, others will make them for you.

The method starts with a short bit on taking responsiblity for your actions and your life, and I guarentee if you don’t do this, its going to be an incredibly difficult read and in general hard to manifest what you want in the first place.

Creating a Crystal Clear Vision

first we need to figure out where we are headed. It needs to be uniquely crafted to be authentic to yourself. As we create this clear vision of who you want to be and the place you want to end up in your life, in full detailed clarity, then life will begin to toss you ideas and challenges that help you get there. A huge point I like to make is that we only need to know where we are at, and where we want to go. As we walk in that direction, the path begins to reveal itself in a magical way.

Mindset Frameworks

Amazing, you thought out and wrote a detailed vision of where you’re wanting to head. Well guess what, you’re going to be tossed up and down by life… why? Because this is tough work, you have to believe in yourself, take action and start to walk the walk. With that in mind you may encounter many actions you have to take will cause doubt, fear, embarassment, completely ridden with insecurities. Really what these are, are limiting beliefs, outdated mindsets, and patterns we created over our lifetime. The mindset chapter is here to give you proper mindset frameworks, learn how to reframe limiting beliefs and set you up with tools to blast through these perceived limitations.

Shadow Work

Now you have a vision & you have solid mindset tools. Well whats next? When you’re on this journey as I mentioned we are going to encounter situations that deal with the unknown, deal with our insecurities… afterall we are finally making the choices that scare the shit out of us that we’ve been avoiding and stepping into this power. With this we will start to discover some unsightly things we may of wanted to avoid about ourselves… we are scared to take that next step, when we deal with criticism we respond with anxiety and anger, when we see others who are further ahead we see them with judgement. These are the shadows of our being and they’re different for everyone. Shadow work is all about seeing the negative aspects of our consciousness and being, learning about them, seeing them for what they are with non-judgemental compassion and then making friends with our shadow, giving them comfort to be fully integrated into us. Rather then the shadow controlling us, we can use reflection to grow beyond these aspects.

Energy Work

Energy work is all about how our.. energy works. This can be something as simple as creating boundaries around others who drain us, to knowing which activities no longer serve us. This is also the chapter that holds meditation & breathwork activities and tips alongside diving deeper into the law of attraction and manifestation techinques. I did my best to make it practical and step away from what others may consider “woo woo”. While I am a deeply spiritual individual who loves metaphysics and ancient wisdom, I wanted this information to be available to any type of person without judgement.

Nutrition, Sleep and Movement

Finally we end off with learning practical health and wellness knowledge to benefit us on this journey. I always describe it as going on a roadtrip with a breaking down vehicle, poor tires, hasn’t had an oil change in a minute and gets poor gas mileage. Well guess what, that road trip is going to be uncomfortable, make more stops, the tires may pop on rough terrain and its simply uncomfortable. Of course you could still make it and I wouldn’t suggest you don’t try, but why? The alternative is, when you dial in these three pillars you’re in a brand new vehicle, filled with amazing gas mileage, comfortable seats and is always in a state of joy rather then anxiety of what could happen. When we make simple choices with our health, it makes an insane difference on how we feel and the amount of resilience we have. Again, you could make it there without it, by why not incorporate some simple guidance huh?

The Foundations for Mighty Wellness & our Personal Growth

The mission behind starting Mighty Wellness is to create a solid foundation to support personal growth for others & myself. The business is an extension of my beliefs and unique purpose to bring out the best version of myself and, in turn, provide the space for others to find that within themselves. I’m incredibly excited (with a tad of anxiety) to share what I’ve learned through my journey and allow others to uncover their inner fire to live their most aligned lives. While for many, this is a developmental coaching service, for me, it’s a commitment to a lifelong mission to rise beyond our limitations and create a world that fulfills the needs of the inhabitants through personal growth. I’m developing Mighty Wellness to push my limiting beliefs on what I can accomplish and take anyone who wants to join me in uncovering how far we can go together in this beautiful place we call earth.

A significant area of the business will focus on my passion for spiritual Wellness & esoteric knowledge which will blend seamlessly into the practice. Such as meditation, breathwork, energy work, using LOA to manifest our highest potential & much more. Using our language to empower us rather than take away our energy & responsibility for the world around us and ourselves. Ultimately remembering our innate inner powers and ability to take full responsibility for our lives to live in absolute purpose to our highest self.
